Inspiring customers with new ideas: the power of the corporate culture

At 160 years old, we are certainly not a start-up. Nevertheless, we are certainly proud of the fact that we have never stopped moving throughout the decades, and never rested on our laurels. Our power of innovation is and has always been driven by the fresh ideas of our employees, who want to achieve the best for our customers with curiosity and the courage to set out on new paths – #wearegeze.

Ideal conditions for ideas and innovation

The power of innovation – the capability to take new paths to create products, solutions, and services – doesn’t come out of thin air. To achieve innovations, our employees need excellent “hardware”, including state-of-the-art workplaces and effective processes. GEZE takes care of that need: we get excited about new, smart technology and use it to equip our departments – from research & development to administration and sales to service and production.

Smart digitisation …

We use smart digitisation to continuously improve ergonomics for our employees in the workplace. This means we look for process steps where automation and digitisation solutions make sense. We have been able to automate our entire packaging line in production, for instance. This means that physically difficult work, like lifting 2.5 kilogram door closers, setting down finished pallets and unclipping the slider to adhere the label, are now handled by a packaging system. Only the documentation, enclosed files, and accessories are now packaged by hand. We have also been using tablets in manufacturing turned parts and assembly installation for quite some time, in order to shorten the distances employees need to walk and make their work more efficient and transparent.

Whether at the office, from home, or via flex time – at GEZE, colleagues are able to balance their work and personal lives and react flexibly to professional or private changes.

In addition, our hybrid, flexible work time models give our employees enough freedom and the best conditions to concentrate, get creative, and tinker with new ideas. We use digital tools to ensure remote work is carried out smoothly, and with the necessary level of security. On the other hand, our professional and modern working environment on site allows employees to quickly engage in discussions face-to-face. In this way, we combine the best of both worlds for a corporate culture focused on the needs of our employees.

Our people are our most important asset

The bright minds behind our equipment are even more important than technology for our force of innovation. We are creating a corporate culture for them which is shaped by freedom, trust, lifelong learning and diversity.

Successful innovation

Selbstverständlich freuen wir uns immer über Erfolge, die uns zeigen, dass wir in Sachen Innovation auf dem richtigen Weg sind. So wurden wir in unserem Jubiläumsjahr 2023 bereits zum zehnten Mal mit dem Siegel „TOP 100“ ausgezeichnet. Damit gehört GEZE erneut zu den einhundert innovativsten Mittelständlern in Deutschland. Eine aussagekräftige Auszeichnung, beteiligen sich an diesem Wettbewerb doch zahlreiche renommierte Unternehmen.

Of course, we are always proud of our success, as it shows us that we are on the right path with our innovations. In our 2023 anniversary year, we have been awarded the “TOP 100” seal for the tenth time. This means GEZE is once again one of the one hundred most innovative mid-sized businesses in Germany. This is a major award, since so many renowned companies take part in the competition.

Ingenuity

The number of patents we have received is further proof of our force of innovation. We added 91 national and 359 international patents between 2019 and 2021 alone. It is certainly no coincidence that we have received the BSFZ seal, given to companies whose research work is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Last but not least, of course, GEZE products like myGEZE Control, our new solution for the building automation of the future, speak loud and clear. Together, we will continue to reinvent ourselves in the future, while developing new technologies and advancing trends. In this way, we will create liveable buildings for and with our customers.
