A successful application generally consists of two introductory interviews before confirmation takes place. Further information regarding the job interview can be found here.
As soon as we receive your application, we will send automatic confirmation of receipt. You will receive a response to your application within a period of roughly three weeks. In this time your application will be proved internal by us.
Unfortunately, you cannot view the status of your application online yet.
Generally, a job interview lasts between 1 and 1.5 hours.
Our aim is to give you a realistic picture of the vacancy and of the particular role. As you'd expect, we also introduce you to the company and its strategic objectives.
Generally speaking, a technical manager and a member of HR will hold the first job interview with you. Someone from the next level up will join the second job interview.

The headquarters in Leonberg are very easy to reach by public transport. Take the S6 suburban train as far as Leonberg. From there’ it’s just a five-minute walk to our offices. It's only a couple minutes walk if you're arriving by bus number 92 (station Römerstraße) if you're coming from Leonberg. You can find more information on www.vvs.de
Applicants may use the company parking spaces in front of the main building.
Questions regarding the company
We aim for fair payment of our staff and take our lead from our in-house collective agreement with the IGM (IG Metal, German union).
You largely determine the direction in which you wish to go. Our aim is to recruit technical and managerial staff from internal positions. Our further training options also target this. We determine your individual training needs in regular appraisals and employee meetings, and work with you seek suitable measures. We place great store on ensuring that what is learned is applied in practice and shared with colleagues.
Our employees are characterised by their flexibility, reliability and responsibility. We need committed, motivated employees if we are to keep both our products and our processes innovative. Responsible action and open communication with managers and colleagues are self-evident.
Our employees go through the work environment with open eyes, recognise potential for improvement, openly discuss these opportunities, and optimise processes. They look beyond their departments and work in a process-oriented, constructive, networked, and effective way. GEZE employees are totally committed to the customers' interests and have the courage to develop, promote and implement new ideas.
Our management have a clear understanding of the strategic aims of the company, and derive specific goals from these. They are able to implement these accordingly and to communicate this to employees. Our managers have responsibility for the work sectors and also for employees, work together across sectors, and are a technical and personal role model for colleagues. We manage our employees constructively and in an output-oriented manner through communication that is appropriate for the situation. In addition, our management is characterised not just by their specialist expertise, but also by their targeted and empathetic encouragement of employees. They support their employees with challenging tasks, extended remits, or by enhancing their skills. They enable employees to take part in selected seminars. Questions regarding training and the dual study programme
You can decide on an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic, construction mechanic, mechatronics engineer, or IT specialist. In addition, we also offer dual study programmes in the fields of engineering, industrial engineering, business informatics, mechatronics, international business, digital business management, electrical engineering, and informatics/information technology. It is possible to do a dual study programme with us if you have completed higher education entrance qualification or have a university of applied sciences entrance qualification with scholastic aptitude test.
Apprenticeships always begin on 1 September, whilst DHBW courses always start on 1 October of each year.
There’s no rule for this. Nevertheless, the relevant start dates of the apprenticeship or dual study programme should be noted. An early application is recommended, instead of applying shortly before the start date of the apprenticeship or dual study programme.
An independent enrolment is not necessary. GEZE handles the enrolment of its apprentices and students.
We generally aim to employ our graduates on a permanent basis.
Unfortunately, a part-time apprenticeship is not currently possible.
Questions regarding the trainee programme
The trainee programme is aimed at individuals who have completed their diplomas, bachelor or master’s degrees (university of applied sciences) in engineering (mechanical engineering, mechatronics), industrial engineering, business informatics, economics, or architecture. Of greater weighting that your field of study, however, is your commitment, interest, and the performance that you have already demonstrated during your course, internships, projects, and commitments outside university.
If you would like to apply for a position as a trainee, then you should already have initial professional experience, such as through internships. Our trainees have special characteristics such as initiative, curiosity, open-mindedness, reliability, resilience, and willingness to take responsibility. Do you like working in a team and are able to handle conflict situations? Solid knowledge of foreign languages is crucial for working in a company that operates internationally.
Our trainee programmes consist of three phases. During the first phase, you get to know various departments and their procedures, our comprehensive product range as well as the market environment. The subsequent project phase is where you get to show us what you can do. We give you the responsibility for a project, tailored to your actual skills and personal ideas. Your task is to independently develop and implement solutions. You will get to know other sectors during the assignment phase and can apply your cross-departmental knowledge here. The IT and business trainee programmes last 12 months, the engineering and sales programmes last 18.
The beginning of the trainee programme is always possible on the first day of a month. We will then agree on the actual start date with you.
You can apply for the trainee programme at any time. A preliminary period of two to three months before the possible start date is sensible.

We place the emphasis on face-to-face meetings with our applicants. That means we can get to know each other better. As part of the interview, you will be asked to consider a particular topic and present your results.
The trainee programme covers all relevant company divisions. This is regardless of whether you decide on the engineering, sales, business, or IT trainee programme. The commercial, technical, and sales-oriented areas of GEZE are covered in line with your individual focuses.
During the project phase, you will solve a specific task from day-to-day practice on your own initiative. The goal is to also implement this within the company. With their technical knowledge and creativity, trainees always have interesting challenges at GEZE.
We will support you in all aspects of the trainee programme with a permanent contact person. Technical support is provided in the relevant divisions. In addition, there are regular feedback and orientation meetings to discuss your personal and technical development.
Trainees meet every two weeks to exchange views about their tasks and activities and – of course– so they can get to know each other better.
Corporate management invites all trainees to a trainee meeting twice per year. You have the opportunity to show corporate management your projects in the trainee programme.
‘Training on the job’ is a primary part of the trainee programme, and is in the form of departmental assignments and projects. You will also take part in the introductory event for employees as well as brief product training. There are also seminars if needed.
Most of your training programme will take place at our headquarters in Leonberg. You will also work abroad as part of the project phase or the assignment phase. The length of the stay abroad depends on your project.
You will be work in various business divisions during the trainee programme. Your next step after the trainee programme depends on your interests, performance, and medium-term personnel planning. A permanent position is highly likely and indeed the desired result if you and we are both happy.
