Girls'Day 2025

Technology is (also) a girl thing: Girls'Day at GEZE

Drilling, bolting, programming: at this year's Girls'Day at the GEZE headquarters in Leonberg, 17 girls aged between 14 and 16 who are interested in technology were able to take an exciting look at technical professions. Among them were repeat offenders, curious newcomers – and also some children of GEZE employees.

Practical insight into exciting career opportunities

One of the day's highlights was the insight into our IT department: four participants were able to try their hand at a range of tasks, from disassembling a PC to programming small applications. A tour of our data centre and office workplaces also drew a few astonished looks.

At the same time, the GEZE training workshop was getting down to some hands-on work: there was plenty of drilling and bolting going on. The result was our door closer mascot Carl Closer, which the girls could take home with them – a real eye-catcher and a nice souvenir of an eventful day.

Career guidance with heart and mind

Girls' Day is an integral part of our commitment to promoting young talent. Every year, we offer young people practical insights into technical professions – with the aim of sparking their interest in technical careers and opening up new prospects. It is particularly gratifying that some of the participants were taking part for the second time – a clear sign that the day made an impression.

Promoting young talent that's fun

GEZE places a high value on practical vocational orientation and the individual support of young talent. Whether IT, mechatronics, electronics or commercial professional training – we offer a wide range of entry opportunities for school students.
