Planting trees together – our commitment to a green future
Sustainability at GEZE is not just a buzzword – it is actively practised. A prime example of this is our tree planting campaigns, in which our junior staff take responsibility and make a real impact. On 11 November 2025, the first GEZE tree planting day took place – with great motivation, dirty hands and lots of team spirit.

With six industrial mechanic apprentices and two trainers, our first planting project began on a forest area near Höfingen. At 8 o'clock, city forester Greß welcomed the group and gave an exciting introduction to the topic of sustainability in forestry. Afterwards, two experienced foresters demonstrated the technical aspects of planting.
Equipped with planting spades, our apprentices planted around 800 seedlings in the ground, including Douglas firs, European larches and cedars. All plants were additionally provided with protection against damage by wild animals. Objective: Strengthening climate-stable mixed forests. The day ended around 3 p.m. – exhausted, but proud.
Continuation in the forest near Warmbronn: Even more commitment, even more trees

The planting campaign entered its next phase in November and December – this time in the Warmbronner Forest in the Maisgraben area. Five second-year mechatronics apprentices and one dual student assisted the forestry commission in planting around 1,300 oak trees. This tree species is ideally suited to the local soil conditions and should help to create a stable and resilient forest for future generations.
Back again: Forester Greß, who not only introduced the young adults to planting techniques using the professional LIECO system, but also explained the background to the importance of sustainability in forestry. Further tree planting days are to follow.
Professional training with purpose and responsibility

Projects such as these demonstrate what makes professional training at GEZE so special: Teamwork, responsibility and genuine prospects. Our apprentices not only learn their profession from the ground up, but also actively engage in future-oriented topics such as climate protection and sustainability.
The commitment of our apprentices is part of our comprehensive approach to sustainability, which we regularly publish in our sustainability report. The fact that our efforts are also recognised externally is demonstrated, among other things, by the EcoVadis Bronze Award we received for our CSR activities.
Working at GEZE means: Achieving big things together
As an international family business, we think in terms of generations – and that is precisely why sustainability is so important to us. Those who start at GEZE can look forward to professional training that offers more than just textbooks and workbenches: Meaningful projects, a strong team, personal development and room for ideas.
